AIVideoDetector helps users check public social video links or uploaded video files for AI-generated, deepfake, or manipulation signals. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how to contact us.
The AI Video Detector Chrome extension is an optional quick-access companion for opening AIVideoDetector pages and responsible-use guidance from your browser toolbar. The extension requests no Chrome permissions or host permissions, does not read or modify websites, does not read browser history, cookies, tabs, page content, form fields, uploads, or files, and does not run content scripts or background page-scanning code.
The extension itself does not collect, store, sell, share, or transmit personal information. It does not upload photos or videos, generate or edit media, download files, inspect the page you are viewing, or submit links or files for analysis automatically. You do not need an AIVideoDetector account to install or open the extension popup.
If you click a link in the extension, it may open AIVideoDetector pages with a source label such as chrome_extension in the URL so we can understand that the visit came from the extension under our normal website analytics and consent settings. Any video link or file analysis happens only if you intentionally use the website and submit content there, subject to this Privacy Policy and our Terms.
When you paste a public video link, we may process the submitted link, a cleaned version of the link, the platform type, scan status, error messages, and report details needed to provide the service.
We do not intentionally send full submitted video links, platform usernames, video IDs, post IDs, video files, frames, or report text to site measurement tools.
If upload scanning is available, we may process the uploaded video, file details, selected frames, audio/video clues, and report signals to create a report. You should only upload content that you have the right to submit and analyze.
If accounts, purchases, or support requests are enabled, we may collect your email address, account details, support messages, and limited billing records needed to operate the service, such as PayPal payer/customer identifiers, order IDs, transaction IDs, subscription IDs, subscription status, plan type, credits balance, refund status, dispute or chargeback status, timestamps, and fraud-prevention or risk signals provided by the payment provider.
Payments and subscriptions are processed by PayPal or the payment provider shown at checkout. We do not store full card numbers, PayPal login credentials, or complete payment credentials. PayPal may process billing details, payment method information, buyer and seller information, transaction details, device and fraud-prevention data, refunds, disputes, and chargebacks according to PayPal’s own terms and Privacy Statement. When you choose PayPal at checkout or manage billing through PayPal, your information is also handled by PayPal under PayPal’s policies.
When you start checkout, buy credits, subscribe, cancel, request a refund, open a dispute, or manage billing, we may share account, plan, order, subscription, and transaction details with PayPal or the payment provider shown at checkout. PayPal may also share payment status, payer identifiers, subscription status, refund status, dispute or chargeback information, fraud-prevention signals, and related billing records with us so we can provide credits, manage access, prevent fraud, respond to support requests, and keep accounting records.
We do not control PayPal’s independent processing of information inside PayPal-hosted checkout, PayPal account, PayPal autopay, dispute, or refund flows. Please review PayPal’s Privacy Statement and applicable PayPal terms for details.
We only try to process content that is publicly and lawfully available to our service. We do not ask for your YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or X login details. We do not intentionally bypass login requirements, privacy settings, paywalls, regional restrictions, or platform access controls.
Some links may fail because the content is private, deleted, age-restricted, region-blocked, login-only, protected, or blocked by the platform.
AI video detection is probabilistic and may be wrong. Reports are screening aids and are not legal, professional, journalistic, medical, financial, employment, or identity-verification proof.
We may use necessary cookies or local storage for security, sessions, preferences, rate limits, and credits. We may also use site measurement tools such as Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, Plausible, Ahrefs Web Analytics, Google Search Console, and Yandex site verification where configured.
We do not intentionally send full submitted video links, uploaded files, frames, report text, email fields, PayPal identifiers, transaction details, or payment information to site measurement tools. Sensitive fields such as video link inputs, email fields, payment fields, uploads, and report content should be masked before public launch.
